Not to mention, american owners do the same thing. I've had plenty of Mustangs with the mindset that Holley built every Poney in their 07 GT and I leave them in the dust. I drive an S2000 and have a love for Honda, and I also completely understand your point. Just look at it from that view.

Just to chime in though, the S2000 was made for the track. The AutoX track, anyway. You have a point in saying some people compare cars that have nothing to do with each other (jac8897) but, lots of these import cars, sti, evo, skyline, s2000, supra, rx7, and the list can go on are on the same caliber as a lot of 80k cars in that they are built for those F1 cars you were talking about. It just depends on the sponsor.

They will beat you in corners not under heavy acceleration go autox your muscle against an itr you will not beat it in standard form anyway. Big cars are made for larger scale tracks. Also what 2.4l v8 that revs to 19k and makes over 700 hp does the us make?

yep the cars are disign for different purpose most cars that past the 50k mark are disign for performence or extremy luxury. that's the way I look at it. then the rest is more of a marketing strategy "sell regular cars with a touch of performance that young people can affort"
"the only thing thou is when you say american cars be more specific because for example a regular mustang or even a GT stock would not beat and s2000 stock in track; may the GT in 1/4 mile would beat the s2000"

i agree on the parts thing. and yes i know a vette is over 80k easy...yes..and i like some compact four cylinders myself. its just that some people DO compare a little s2000 or type R to a 80k dollar car that was ENGINEERED straight from factory to be a track car. and american cars not only CAN do tracks, but will outperform a most imports. the only other serious imports are italian or german imports

sorry I meant a true american car with part made in mexico. "and have you see the price tags of the cars that set does records in Lemans" also if you are going to talk about record how many F1 championship has chevy or Dogde. "but don't get me wrong I do like American car like the corvette zr1, the viper, and the GT500 the only problem is that I can't affort it"

how about Laguna Seca? they couldnt make it there. face it, most hondas are not sports cars and require heavy tunning to be one.
